Through our development, we are recruiting one site Manager for our project in London.

You will be working with a fantastic and ambitious team.

The purpose of the role will be to ensure effective and efficient production within set timescales, including quality and safety management.

 

The Site Manager will be accountable for:

  • To manage the daily activities in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and programme for his packages.
  • To manage the costs associated with the works, and any variations should they arise.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings and producing the required timeline of works / action points.
  • Subcontractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and compliant.

 

Key tasks and activities will include:

  • Participate in the weekly construction site team meetings and raise any issues that could affect progress and quality benchmarks.
  • Understand technical specifications, drawings, programs and be able to produce reports based on observations, defects and quality using our digital system and tablets.
  • Understand building services including design principles, method statements, Inspection Test Plans, Risk Assessments, commissioning and handover requirements.
  • Understand health & safety rules and regulations, CDM and company policies.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, consultants and other team members at all times to help ensure a cohesive and progressive project team.
  • Investigation into latent defects and provide engineered solutions where necessary.
  • Procurement of subcontractors for post completion works.
  • Preparation of purchase orders, works orders and associated documents.
  • Control of subcontractors and directly employed labour.
  • Review of ongoing works with a view to highlight potential defects.
  • To comply with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • To support and practice the Company`s Quality Policy and Mission Statement.
  • To follow the Company`s Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post.

Profile and work environment

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2 years previous site management experience essential Proven track record of successful delivery of project
  • Reading and accurately interpreting programmes, drawings and technical specification
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, particularly when under pressure
  • Able to negotiate and liaise with a range of consultants, colleagues and subcontractors
